Rolston seems to be a clone of Ruff and Darcy.
I want NEW . If the team is indeed rebuilding . Pieces need to be replaced. The coach is included. - cabin
Having a coach in Rochester that was like Ruff and Darcy was great, it kept consistency throughout the organization.
Thing is, when you replaced the guy in Buffalo with the guy in Rochester for a "change" you really didn't change anything.
--That is the problem with Rolston as HC. |

If we have Rolston as coach this team will be just as unwatchable as it was this season.
I want someone NEW! A Fresh New Face, Not some guy that's been in the system... |

I think we are overlooking Kevyn Adams. Dude has good hockey knowledge and is really engaged on the bench. I think it would be a mistake to let him go.
Devils advocate here: What if we get someone "fresh" and "new" and they just freshly suck? |

Patrick Roy.
Although now that Colorado has cleaned house, it has left the door wide open for him to go waltzing through. |

I think Roy would help the team into the spotlight more and gain us some fans and also grigorenkos linemates are avaible in the draft this year so regier should also take a look at them if they are avaible lower in the draft, it would help to have some chemistry that has been proven to work and it wouldnt cost a ton to get them. |

Proven to work in the Q is a whole different matter than proven to work in the NHL |

Its more than what we have now and in trying to find FAs that would work with our team over guys who know each others game ill take the known chemistry over the might be chemistry |

The only reason I would like him kept is that once the fans start booing constantly again next year I sincerely hope that Pegula will finally order Black to fire Regier, and then hopefully a new GM will put his own people in. I can't believe Pegjla will want to sit there and listen to the boos every game, knowing they are directed at Regier.
If it's a new coach it wouldn't be fair to fire him in Oct/Nov! |

I've been to most of the games over the past few years, and watched sloppy, uninspired or lazy plays/shifts/periods/games that led to boos. I can honestly say that Darcy didn't make any of those plays. |

But it's Regiers players making those plays. You can't fire the whole team, they tried firing the coach, it's absolutely ridiculous that they would leave a loser GM in place 16 years! |

I think he was referring to Grigo's linemates and the chemistry they have. My comment had nothing to do with the coach. |

I was asking a legitimate question. I wasnt calling your statement into question at all. It had just got me thinking. |

I wasn't getting defensive, I was just referring to what I thought he was thinking. As for your question, I think Muckler would be the obvious answer to that. Lindy had been here for so long, and the game has changed so much since, I don't think it matters that the new coach doesn't have NHL experience. |
|
|
|
Rolston put Stafford Foligno and Scott on a line today. Why do I want a coach that will put 2 top 6 forwards with a part time NHL fighter on the same line? Seriously Rolston lines sucked I have no clue why he put the players he did together because you can see they had zero chemistry. |

I agree. Its not like *fill in the blank* coach will ruin our winning legacy. |
